Ugh! Adversity in Business

Today's been one of those days.

It started with my top tech guy telling me he's leaving. Then went downhill as a merger I've been working on seems to be unraveling. Then both my computers (laptop and desktop) started having problems. I've wasted the last hour on the phone with tech support only to have to jump off prematurely for a meeting that I needed to drive to. When I got there (5 minutes late) I realized that I wasn't 5 minutes late, but 55 minutes early.  Tonight I have to pay my respects to my neighbor who's father has just passed. A banner day all the way around.

When I returned from my "meeting" I got this email from one of my favorite authors, Neale Donald Walsch:

On this day of your life, Larry, I believe God wants you to know...

.that just when it looks like life is falling apart, it may

be falling together for the first time.

I have learned to trust the process of life, and not so

much the outcome. Destinations have not nearly as

much value as journeys.

So maybe you should let things fall apart at this

juncture if that's what's happening. Don't hang on so

tenaciously. The nice thing about things falling apart is

that you can pick up only the pieces that you want...

...and you know exactly why I told you this today...

Love, Your Friend....

Is it a coincidence that this message came today? Is it sound business advice? Maybe so.
